Agent J travels in time to M.I.B.’s early days in 1969 to stop an alien from assassinating his friend Agent K and changing history.
Better then the original. Fresh concept and just plain fun to watch. The “aliens” are funny and better looking then Star Wars! K & J are still great chemistry and I hope they have a Men in Black 4! Josh Brolin is a perfect young K. Outstanding fun to watch more then a few times! I guess K’s love interest could have been on the screen a little longer? I was surprised that J didn’t have one this time but the concept works well without it and the show is about K.
I didn’t write “It’s the ending and the beginning.” to seem cool. It’s the summary of the movie as I understood it, you will understand why I wrote so when you watch the 3rd and 1st movie in the series.
I didn’t like or dislike previous movies because I had no reason to. Men in Black story doesn’t interest me at all. Aliens could exist (a very likely possibility), watching stars make me see we are not alone in the universe but I have no idea if aliens would improve or destroy humanity but I have no reason to care about aliens because I have no alien in my life (as much as I know) to make them be useful or avoid them but to be honest some people seem like an alien (I’m joking). Men in Black life is very boring for me so if they had tried to recruit me I would just say “hell no”. I’m no hero or villain. I have no noble or vulgar wishes, I just want to have fun in my own safe way for my life but Men in Black life is being a cat and jumping into a hole without caring about the possible dangers therefore I have no interest in Men in Black story per se. Also what if aliens live on Earth? It’s not actually interesting. For me controlling aliens and hiding that fact from people is usual way of how society works. So in our world we control people and hide dangerous facts from people. There are people who serve their country and the world from the shadows because it’s their job so being Men in Black is nothing different therefore their story is boring. But I’ve learned this movie is a time travel movie and I’m a sucker for time travel so of course I would watch this movie but the time travel aspect of the movie had no effect on my score.
I liked this movie because of the character development of K and J and the way this movie link itself with the first movie. I enjoyed how the characters changed and the certain cycle of people is very realistic. K is a very interesting character to observe his character development while J being annoying sometimes but he is a good kid. Which this movie made me see J will be like K at some point and J realized it too therefore it made me glad and like the movie more.
Do you remember D, the literally old partner of K in any way “old” means from the first movie? You watch K being like D in this movie. Being old and therefore having a sense of not doing anything unnecessary because you lack the energy and a wish because life is so boring and you cannot have fun. You even lose your sense of humor. Then you just go on doing what you should do. I can relate to this so much watching K made me realize as I get old I becoming more like K and it makes me afraid. I was like J when I was younger and now I’m like K in the first movie so my future is K in this movie. It’s a rather personal 10/10 most people wouldn’t care but here it’s.
This movie is more and better even when we sum up the first 2 movies. This movie made me care about the first movie and enjoy them actually. All I can say is if you didn’t like the first 2 movies you better try this one. Or you can actually start from this one if you never watched a Men in Black before or you watched only the latest one. It’s a movie that deserves a chance to at least start watching. I had lots of fun because of its humour and how smart the movie is. In fun scale this movie is most fun movie than 1st and 4th movie and 2nd movie is the most boring one in the series.
Director Barry Sonnenfeld’s Men in Black 3 had some production issues throughout the years and that’s why it took until last year for it to come out. Because of a stoppage and a script rewrite, the beginning, middle, and end were not really put together, but it really didn’t show in the movie. The film began when an evil alien known as Boris The Animal who is played by Jemaine Clement manages to escape from a maximum security prison on the moon. Boris wants to take revenge on Agent K who is played by Tommy Lee Jones.
Boris uses time travel and goes back to 1969. The year that his plans for world domination were disrupted and kills the young Agent K, leaving Agent J played by Will Smith living in a future without his longtime partner. After discovering what is going on, Agent J travels back in time himself to both stop young Agent K who is played by Josh Brolin from being murdered and save the world from Boris. This movie almost makes you think that everything happening in the movie is happening in real life. At the very least the script does give a good platform for the film’s uniformly great performances.
Will Smith shows that he still has plenty of spunk and chemistry left with Jones, verbal timing and physical humor. Though it’s a tad gimmicky, I thought Josh Brolin did a great job using his impression of Tommy Lee Jones as the young Agent K. Josh Brolin wasn’t the star of the show, Michael Stuhlbarg was the star. Playing an alien known as Griffin, a being that can see all possible time lines and variations of universes at once, Michael Stuhlbarg is a thrill to watch as he thinks out loud about what’s going to happen next and worries about the most negative of outcomes.
It’s a wonderful performance backed with an interesting character design and the highlight of the movie. Once the movie finally travels back to the late 60s, the story actually gets interesting and is just clever enough to keep the audience’s attention. As with the other films in the series, there are many mysteries hidden throughout such as Tim Burton and Yao Ming play aliens on monitors in the Men in Black headquarters, and Bill Hader plays Andy Warhol, who is just an undercover MiB agent out of ideas. This is the best movie I have seen and is going to be a classic. Just having Will Smith should make you want to watch it.
Men in black 3 is absolutely a great movie but this Review is from other people’s perspective and it is still up to you whether you will like this movie or not. Men in Black 3 movie has got a Rating of 6.8 over 10 and that is pretty high! so why not give it a try!
